Cancellations and refunds, minus a $50 registration fee, are allowed up to one week before the educational event date.

Guest Speakers

The following renowned and nationally recognized doctors using ExamWRITER in their practices will be honored guest speakers at upcoming events!

Dr. Ryan Wineinger, Wineinger Vision Associates

Dr. Ryan Wineinger will be speaking at the Chicago and Portland events. He received his undergraduate degree from Kansas University. He then graduated from The Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduation, he went into practice with his father at Wineinger Eyecare. Dr. Wineinger thoroughly enjoys the technological side of optometry and in the past five years has made concentrated efforts to bring in the latest equipment to ensure that his patients are receiving the highest level of comprehensive care possible in regards to their eyesight. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Greater Kansas City Optometric Society. 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Robert Bass, Optometric Associates, P.C.

Dr. Robert Bass will be speaking at the Washington, D.C., event. Dr. Bass is a proud 1978 alumnus from the College of William and Mary, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He graduated with honors from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1982. At Southern, he was accepted into Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society and achieved membership in Sigma Alpha Sigma, the college's Optometric Honor Society. In 1986, Dr. Bass became a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Bass has practiced optometry in the same location in Manassas, Virginia, since graduation. He is a member and former president of the Battlefield Optometric Society; president-elect of the Board of Trustees of the Virginia Optometric Association; and served ten years on the board of directors for Vision Service Plan, the largest vision insurance company in the United States. In addition, he is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Southern Council of Optometrists, and the Virginia Academy of Optometry.

An accomplished professional, Dr. Bass is also an avid fisherman and a dedicated family man. He lives in the city of Manassas with his wife and two daughters. He is active in several community organizations and is a member and former president of the Manassas Host Lions Club.

Dr. Mary Anne Murphy, Front Range Eye Associates, P.C.

Dr. Mary Anne Murphy will be speaking at the San Deigo event. She believes in providing the highest level of personalized care to her patients and carries this philosophy into every patient encounter. She lives her dream in a private group practice in Broomfield, Colorado. After starting cold six years ago, she has grown her practice to three doctors and 11 staff, attributing her success to efficiencies in technology and excellent staff. A self proclaimed “gadget-junkie,” Dr. Murphy is quick to adapt new technology while continuing to search for ways to exceed her patients' expectations. Dr. Murphy serves on the advisory board for many industry partners and serves as the U.S. Chair for Optometry Giving Sight. She spends her free time with her husband and two children exploring the Colorado mountains.

A: No.

Q: Will I get "hands-on" experience in the course?

A: We have made arrangements for you to bring your laptop so that you can follow along with the instructors. During the course, you will have access to the latest version of OfficeMate/ExamWRITER in the cloud, which will include a demonstration database so that you can practice what you are learning in the course and follow along with the instructors.

Handouts at all events will include OfficeMate/ExamWRITER screenshots so that it will be easy for you to incorporate what you learned in the course in your practice.

Q: Do you have airport-hotel transportation suggestions?

A: Yes! You can reserve a spot on the Super Shuttle (858.974.8885) for the San Diego event. One-way travel to and from the airport costs approximately $11. Taxis are also available for approximately $20 each way.
