Refer to the related article below for information on denoting a patient as deceased.</description><pubDate>Thu, 30 Nov 2006 03:39:00 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>Customer Care</dc:creator></item><item><title>How do I prevent recall letters from being sent to patients who have already scheduled an appointment?</title><link>http://www.officemate.net/omkb/article.aspx?id=10633</link><description>&lt;B&gt;Abstract:&lt;/B&gt; &lt;P&gt;To prevent a recall letter from being sent to a patient who already has a scheduled appointment, perform the following steps:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Open the &lt;STRONG&gt;Patient Demographics&lt;/STRONG&gt; window.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Click the &lt;STRONG&gt;Recall&lt;/STRONG&gt; tab.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Update the &lt;STRONG&gt;Next Recall&lt;/STRONG&gt; date and click &lt;STRONG&gt;OK&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;At this time, Appointment Scheduler is not tied to Recalls.  Thus, unless you update the Next Recall in Patient Demographics, a recall letter will be sent regardless of whether the patient has already made an appointment or not.  The recall letter is a useful tool to remind patients that if they have already scheduled appointments, that they may be coming up soon.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Notes:&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;EM&gt;If the patient cancels the appointment or does not keep the appointment, you must manually update the Next Recall; otherwise, the patient will not receive future recall notices.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description><pubDate>Thu, 16 Nov 2006 11:26:00 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>Customer Care</dc:creator></item></channel></rss>
