If ExamWRITER is running slow, review the attached related articles for solutions to increase the speed. The problems and resolutions addressed in these articles are highlighted below:
- Your Microsoft SQL Server does not meet our system requirements.
- Solution: Review the server requirements for Microsoft SQL Server and ensure that you are meeting the requirements (see the attached related article - Q10197).
- You have over 500,000 products in your database.
- Solution: Upgrade to v10.6 or above or call Customer Care at 1.800.942.5353.
- ECR Vault is installed on the same server as the OfficeMate SQL server and does not meet our system requirements.
- Solution: Review the server requirements for Microsoft SQL Server and ensure that you are meeting the requirements (see the attached related article - Q10197). Also, ensure that you are using the latest version of ECR Vault. In addition, open your Internet browser's security options and ensure that the settings for checking for publisher's certificate revocation, server certificate revocation, and signatures on downloaded programs are not selected.
- ExamWRITER cannot connect to visual equipment for the ExamWRITER Equipment Interface.

- Your anti-virus software or firewall is slowing down data transfers, specifically on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.

- Your DNS is not configured correctly.
