Q24120 - FAQ: How do I reactivate a patient who was marked as inactive?

To make a patient active who was previously marked as inactive, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Find Patient/Guarantor window.
     – In OfficeMate or Home Office, click the Patients icon.
     – In ExamWRITER, click Tools and select Patient Demographic Maintenance.
  2. Type the patient name (or a portion thereof) in the search fields.
  3. Select the Include Inactive check box.
  4. Click F2 Find.
  5. Select the patient, by double-clicking, from the search results.
  6. If you are using OfficeMate or Home Office, click Demographics.
  7. Update the patient's information as needed.
  8. Select the Active check box to reactivate the patient.
  9. Click OK or Save/Exit to save the changes to the patient record.
