These instructions were prepared using an Olympus Camedia D-595 digital camera. These instructions should be the same or very similar to the instructions for other Olympus models.
To set the camera to computer-control mode, perform the following steps:

Unplug the USB cord from the camera’s Multi-Connector port.

Turn off the camera, and then turn the power back on.
Note: Leave the Mode Dial set to P. You do not need to adjust the Mode dial to set the camera to computer-control mode.)

Open the card cover.
Note: the card cover is a small door usually found on the bottom of Olympus cameras.
The camera’s display shows a card cover open warning.

Press the Playback and Menu buttons simultaneously and hold for three seconds.
The camera displays the Camera/SDK Setup menu.

Use the up or down arrows to hightlight USB.

Press the right arrow to display the submenu.

Use the up of down arrow to highlight Control.

Press the OK button twice to save your changes.

Close the card cover and turn the camera off.

Plug the USB cable into the camera’s Multi-Connector port.
