If you upgrade to OfficeMate or ExamWRITER version 7.x and open a finalized exam in ExamWRITER or an open or closed exam that had open charges prior to the software upgrade, the open charges will be duplicated for the patient and both the original and duplicate open charges will post to the fee slip if you do not deselect the duplicate open charges on the Open Charges window in OfficeMate.

If you upgrade to OfficeMate or ExamWRITER version 7.x and post charges from an open exam to a patient's OfficeMate fee slip, finalize the exam, view the exam, and then open the Fee Slip window in OfficeMate and find and select the same patient, the open charges will be listed on the fee slip again. You will need to delete these duplicate open charges from the fee slip before recording the fee slip for the patient.

OfficeMate Software Solutions is aware of these issues and is working to resolve them in a future version of the software.
