Q10887 - FAQ: Why are my Electronic Claim submission calls interrupted by a recorded operator message?

The call waiting setting on your modem may be causing the claims transmission to be interrupted.  To solve this problem, follow the instructions below:

  1. Click the Start menu, select Settings, select Control Panel, and select Phone and Modem.
  2. Click the Dialing Rules tab, click My Location, and click Edit.
  3. Determine if call waiting is enabled:
    • If call waiting is enabled, click to remove the To disable call waiting , dial: checkmark. Make sure the drop-down box is empty and click OK. 
    • If call waiting is disabled, click to add the To disable call waiting , dial: checkmark. Select the appropriate number to dial to disable call waiting from the drop-down menu and click OK.
  4. Send the claims again.
