Q10001 - ERRMSG: Correcting Error 339 (OfficeMate Suite)

Windows 2000 & Windows XP Users
If you receive an error 339 message, follow the instructions below from each workstation displaying the error:

  1. Close OfficeMate or ExamWRITER on the affected computer.
  2. Open this computer's OMATE32 folder (usually located at C:\OMATE32).
  3. Windows XP users: Double-click ~OMRegAll.bat.
    Windows 2000 users: Download the OMRegAll_WIN2K.bat from the Article Attachments section, below, and double-click the OMRegAll_WIN2K.bat icon.
  4. Click Continue if prompted and then wait while the file runs.
  5. When the OMRegAll.bat file is finished running, reopen OfficeMate or ExamWRITER.

Windows Vista & Windows 7 Users
If you receive an error 339 message, follow the instructions below from each workstation displaying the error:

  1. Close OfficeMate or ExamWRITER on the affected computer.
  2. Click Start and select Computer.
  3. Open this computer's OMATE32 folder (usually located at C:\OMATE32).
  4. Right-click ~OMRegAll.bat and select Run as Administrator.
  5. Click Continue if prompted and then wait while the file runs.
    Note: If you are unable to run ~OMRegAll.bat, even as the administrator, you may need to temporarily turn off User Account Control. For more information, go to the Knowledge Base article entitled, "User Account Control Error When Using the OfficeMate Suite on Windows Vista & Windows 7"
  6. When the ~OMRegAll.bat file is finished running, reopen OfficeMate or ExamWRITER.
