No, you cannot record payments for customers who are not in the OfficeMate database. You have two options:

• You can collect basic demographic information for each of your customers, which may not be a bad idea for marketing.
  OR
• You can create a fictitious patient called "Cash Sale" and apply all nonpatient purchases to the fictitious patient.
