Jobson Research Survey
In January 2003 Jobson Research completed a survey highlighting OfficeMate’s 34.5% marketshare of computerized offices! Simply stated, one out of every three offices is an OfficeMate client. 91% of our clients express satisfaction with the OfficeMate program and service. Our goal is to take our product and service to the next level!




Announcing Release 4.0
 

Version 4.0 brings together many exciting new design and functional changes as well as compliance with the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) security and privacy act. Other changes and new features include eighteen additional reports, enhanced patient information windows, increased inventory controls, new options in system preferences, duplicate record detection, and increased Rx capabilities.

HIPAA is the big news today! OfficeMate facilitates the implementation of the Privacy Rule with HIPAAMate™ featured in Version 4.0. HIPAAMate features tools to assist you in the gathering and tracking of privacy documents. The Security Rule has just been finalized, yet no final publication of the specifications has been issued. Consequently, security implementation in your office is likely two years away and of minimal concern at this point. Finally, October 2003 is coming soon and we are working very closely with Gateway EDI to assure a HIPAA-compliant claim to meet the Transaction Rule scheduled for later this fall. Due to the large OfficeMate client base, it will take several weeks to distribute new OfficeMate versions to our entire client base; but we want clients wishing to use HIPAAMate to get this new version as soon as possible.
